More from Tel Aviv

We had a terrific day today. We spent the morning hanging out at Shuk HaCarmel. An open air shuk in Southern Tel Aviv. We bought a ton of fresh vegetables and fruit. The kids got to spend some of the sheckels they have been earning for being good, which they really liked. The highlight for them was probably buying chocolate eggs with toys in the middle for a sheckel (about a quarter). They also each got their own change holders and new 10 sheckel caps.

Around 4 PM we were ready again for the beach and met our friends Kevin, Danielle and their kids there. The water was warm, gentle and shallow so the kids could go pretty far out which was super fun for them. Sarah brought some beer and Kevin and I drank ours 20 yards into the Mediterranean.

At sunset we walked home through the newly renovated Independence Park which isn't even officially opened yet. The kids played on an awesome new playground. A really great Tel Aviv day.
